到目前为止，我们已经在使用的每一个单元格中输入了两种基本类型数据，数字和文本。然而，我们并不总是知道它的内容。至于实际是什么往往取决于其他单元格的内容。处理第三类数据的被称为公式。公式是使用数字和变量获取结果的等式。在电子表格中，变量是保存完成等式所需数据的单元格位置。 Up to now, we have been entering one of two basic types of data into each cell that we have been using, Numbers and Text. However, it is not always the case that we will know what the contents should be. Often what should be there is dependent on the contents of other cells. This is handled by a third type of data known as the formula. Formulas are equations using numbers and variables to get a result. In a spreadsheet, the variables are cell locations that hold the data needed for the equation to be completed.

函数是输入在单元格里预先定义的计算，用来帮你在电子表格里分析或操作数据。你所要做的就是增添参数，会自动为你计算。这将有助于创建所需的公式，获得你所需要的结果。 A function is a pre-defined calculation entered in a cell to help you analyze or manipulate data in a spreadsheet. All you have to do is add the arguments, and the calculation is automatically made for you. This helps to facilitate the creation of the formulas needed to get the results that you are looking for.
